I was sold a locked iPhone 13 plus, my carrier told me to go to AT&T to unlock it and they’re unable to unlock because the previous owner didn’t pay off his/her phone. It says on AT&T website **“ You can’t unlock your device until your installment plan is paid off. If you pay off your device as part of your monthly bill, wait until the start of your next bill period to unlock it.
Want to pay off your device early? Make sure your number has been active on the device for at least 60 days”** I paid this phone off in full and I’m not paying someone else bill to use this iPhone, beautiful iPhone, but it’s useless to me. Definitely will apply for replacement

I did not realize it was a demo phone until after the return period. That should not matter because the phone is not as described and has limited capabilities. But seller agreed to work with me. They essentially allowed me a replacement and now I have a phone I can use.
